What Is Canvas Printing?
Canvas printing is the process of applying and reproducing a digital work onto canvas fabric using digital printing techniques.
At sanatsalbaski.com we raise the bar a little higher. By making high-resolution prints on top-quality 100% cotton canvas, we achieve long-lasting production. Canvas prints are made at 1440 dpi and above on 300–400 gram cotton canvas, and then stretched onto a wooden stretcher bar. We use kiln-dried fir wood for our stretcher bars. (Poplar or non-kiln-dried wood is commonly used in the market.) When the stretcher is not made from suitable wood, works hung on the wall sag very quickly and cause major problems. That is why we strongly advise against the use of low-quality wood and fabric. Where necessary, your prints are protected from the sun's UV rays with a protective spray.
In framed presentations, natural wooden frames that keep their form permanently are used, preventing the work from warping over the long term due to external factors such as humidity and heat.
You can supply the canvas print you order with 3 different edge options, either frameless or with a floating frame in 4 colour options.
- Black edge – The side edges of the product are coloured black in the side view.
- White edge – The side edges of the product are not painted and the natural colour of the canvas shows.
- Image edge – A texture is applied to the side edges so they look like a continuation of your image in the side view. Recommended especially for open, frameless presentations.
