What Is Diasec Printing?

Diasec printing (also known as diasec or acrylic sandwich) is an unusual, avant-garde photo printing system that gives a sharp-edged, clean and elegant look in presentation.

In diasec printing the image is printed on glossy RC paper, mounted on a 4 mm thick dibond plate and bonded to the acrylic with an elastic ultra-clear UV silicone, forming a sandwich. This creates a rigid, sturdy structure that does not flex.

Diasec printing creates extra brilliance and a three-dimensional effect for the viewer. Reflection between the backing and the image is prevented, giving a glossy and elegant presentation.

Because of its longevity, quality and modern look it is frequently preferred, especially for fine art prints intended for museum and gallery display.
